Moravská Třebová

The town of Moravská Třebová was declared an urban conservation area in 1956, restored in 1980.

- Lock
- Town houses in the center of town with late Gothic and Renaissance halls.
- Renaissance Town Hall, today the seat of the municipal office. A curiosity is the tower from 1521, which has no foundations.
- Plague Column from 1720 with valuable sculptural decoration. The construction and decoration was carried out by the Olomouc sculptor Jan Sturmer.
- In addition to the historical core of the town and the chateau, the urban conservation area also features a complex on the nearby Křížový vrch. Here we find the Church of the Finding of Sts. The cross built around 1500, the Way of the Cross with the chapels, the monumental sculptural group of Calvary and valuable Baroque artworks, featuring outstanding artists J. T. Supper, J. Pacák and others. An important monument is a collection of Renaissance stone tombstones from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, located in the lapidary.
- The building of the Municipal Museum was completed in 1906. In addition to regular exhibitions, the museum offers a collection of non-European art in the permanent exhibition thanks to a native of Moravská Třebová, L. V. Holzmaister. Newly re-installed the exhibition from ancient Egypt, where we find Princess Hereret's mummy. After the Náprstek Museum, this Egyptian collection is the largest in the Czech Republic. The exhibition is composed as an ancient Egyptian tomb with paintings on the wall.

    Near the town on a high wooded hill there is a Třebovské hradisko with the remnants of the original Třebovský castle, surrounded by moats and mounds.
    On the Cross Hill is a statue of a crying girl (Anna Gläserová) [5]
