The square also includes Stará Pota - originally a brewing house, which Maxmilián Hoálek bought in 1584 and rebuilt it as a mayor of the town and decorated it with graphite and frescoes. Behind the Town Hall is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which stands in the place of a large Romanesque basilica. Its masonry has been preserved in both towers. In the years 1340 - 1370, the well-known iron works of Petr Parléř participated in the reconstruction of the church.
